A career in the Extreme Meet Jeff Hardy

As Jeff Hardy’s time in WWE comes to a close, experience the dizzying highs and soul-crushing lows of The Charismatic Enigma, courtesy of the September issue of WWE Magazine, on newsstands now.

June, 25 1994
A scrawny kid with the nondescript white tights and bleach-blond butt-cut steps into the ring for the first time. Believe it or not, it was The Extreme Enigma making his WWE debut at the tender age of 16.

Oct.11, 1998
After nearly half a decade spent with their shoulders on the mat, Jeff & brother Matt—newly dubbed “The Hardy Boyz”—are rewarded with full-time WWE contracts.

June 29, 1999
Under the tutelage of Freebird Michael “P.S.” Hayes, Jeff & Matt begin a Tag Team Championship campaign that culminates in an upset win over The Acolytes, earning them the first of many World Tag Team Championships.

Aug. 9, 1999
After former disciples Edge & Christian hit Gangrel with the metaphorical silver bullet, he recruits The Hardys to form The New Brood. Jeff & Matt ditch Michael Hayes and opt for an even darker, more intense WWE existence.

Oct. 17, 1999
At No Mercy, The Hardys & Edge & Christian set a new standard for Ladder Matches with never-before-imagined acts of bravery, innovation and total disregard for bodily harm. Jeff and Matt win the match along with $100,000 and the managerial services of Terri Runnels. More importantly, they win a standing ovation from the crowd.

May 26, 2000
WWE Diva Lita begins her association with Jeff & Matt Hardy when they save her from an assault by former charge Essa Rios. Lita’s in-ring ability is a perfect fit with The Hardys’ style. Together, they form Team X-treme.

Is it so.......
Does this mean it's the end. Through all those high risk stunning maneuvers. Will we ever see Jeff in a ring again. Will he retire at a young age or come back to be the next Ric Flair (old man) extravagant. Even wrestler like Undertaker and Shawn do it. But In our mind we think that it is only respectable to go out at a young age. Because Legendary names call in young at the peek, so people remember them.

What do you think? Comment about it. CBox Chat Sunday about it. Be ready, we want the best speaking their mind.

Goodbye Jeff, but Congratulation!
PHOENIX
– With a startling new pay-per-view looming on the horizon, one legendary Superstar was forced to leave the squared circle while another was thrust into the realm of darkness.

- World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk def. Jeff Hardy (Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship) (VIDEO | PHOTOS) Following his SummerSlam triumph, a gloating CM Punk returned to SmackDown as the "only Straightedge Champion in WWE History." When The Charismatic Enigma interrupted his celebration, promising to end Punk’s reign in their steel cage rematch, Punk proposed the loser be thrown out of WWE. As the shocked WWE Universe stood witness, Hardy accepted the huge gamble. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long arrived to set the stipulation in stone. He then dropped a bombshell, stating that at the brand new pay-per-view WWE Breaking Point, where every main event will be a submission match, the winner of the steel cage clash would face Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship.

- Later that night, after years of incredible feats of reckless abandon, fate finally caught up with Jeff Hardy in a moment of tragic irony. After blocking the high-flying specialist’s climb to victory, the World Heavyweight Champion superplexed him from high atop of the cage. Hardy battled back heroically, trying to prevent his adversary from getting over the cage with every fiber of his being. But a thumb to the eye by Punk sealed his fate, allowing The Straightedge Superstar to retain his title while simultaneously vanquishing the amazing Jeff Hardy from the WWE ring. After Hardy delivered a heartfelt goodbye to the WWE Universe, the ruthless Punk added insult to injury, attacking the departing Superstar from behind with the World title.

JR Mentions Jeff in his Blog
Jim Ross Liked the TLC Match Between Jeff and Punk.
Jeff Hardy vs. C.M. Punk....WOW! TLC matches are all about the risks, car crashes, and "Holy S**T" moments that so many fans feed off of during these bouts that have no pinfalls, etc. As I was visiting with Todd Grisham on our way to Phoenix from LA late Sunday night, I discussed with him that wrestling bouts that eliminate pins, submissions, count outs and disqualifications make them more one dimensional and make the high risk stuff the star of the show. This match was tremendous and if you could have been sitting at ringside as we were you could not have helped but feel the angst and element of profound danger that Jeff and Punk put themselves in on multiple occasions during this World Title Bout.
